Buildings on most of the Forsyth County Health and Human Services Campus on Highland Avenue are closed this morning due to a power outage, but most staff continue to work remotely and can be reached by phone or email.

The power outage affects Forsyth County Public Health, Social Services, the Cleveland Avenue Dental Clinic and the Highland Avenue Center except for the Pharmacy.

The Bridges to Hope Family Justice Center and DSS Child Support Services, which are located in Annex 1, and the Pharmacy in the Highland Avenue Center have power and will operate normal hours.

The power outage is being caused by a traffic accident that damaged Duke Energy equipment. Duke Energy estimates power will be restored by 12:30 p.m.
